Curiosity

It's been a long time since my last update,... again. I'm starting to believe one of the reasons I don't update this blog more often is that every time I think about it I feel like I have to give some sort of explanation, tell something about... something,...

So,... anyway, I'll just leave you with one of my latest works, and add the initial sketch as a bonus...

Sacred

For a few months now, I've been thinking about doing a remake of one of my old works, until a couple of days ago, while searching for some theory about lenses, cameras and stuff like that, somehow I ended up starting this picture.

Now, as you can see in the "before and after" image, I'd say that the difference between both versions
it's not only due to the fact that I have improved (at least I like to think so) but mostly because
I changed a lot of the original concept. In any case, they still share the same fundamental
idea which is why I believe it's fair to compare them.

I guess I still have a long way to go, but despite that, I'm happy for what I have achieved so far.

Drifter

A while ago I had this idea of a family of engineers that lived a nomad life and kind of wander around the skies in a floating house; I started sketching some ideas for the house, until I came up with a concept I felt comfortable with. Later, I try to refine it into a more detailed illustration but after some time working on it I really wasn't happy with the results so
eventually left it aside in order to make some other stuff. 

The idea remained there until a few days ago I was searching through old folders and found it. I decided to make another attempt, except this time I took a different approach, I kept the looseness of the initial concept instead of fighting it, which I believe has helped me achieve a decent result...

Anyway, I hope you like it!!!

Ok, it's been a while since my last update... I guess I got distracted with other issues. In any case, it has served me as an excuse to replace the old banner for a new one, a little more interesting.

Here is the original picture without the title, although it's not like it changes that much. It's pretty simple but I'd say it works quite well if we have in mind that it took me about an hour. At least, it's much more evocative that the previous one...

Anyway, I hope you like it!!!

En fin, hace ya bastante tiempo que no actualizaba el blog... supongo que he estado distraído con otras cuestiones. En todo caso, me ha servido como excusa para reemplazar el antiguo banner por algo un poco más interesante. 

Aquí os dejo la imagen sin el título, aunque sinceramente no es que cambien demasiado. Es bastante simple pero. teniendo en cuenta que no le he dedicado mucho más de una hora, diría que funciona, cuanto menos, la temática resulta mas evocadora...
